Hold important stuff to your fridge with our super strong handmade yinzer Pierogie magnets.
We start making our magnets by rolling out slabs of clay that we get from Pittsburgh based Standard Ceramics in Carnegie. We then punch out the magnet form, and hand form each one into a mini pierogie shape. When bone dry, the magnet is ready for its first firing. After the kiln cools, the magnet is unloaded and then glazed by a skilled ceramicist. It is then fired to about 2,000 degrees. We then glue on the super strong magnet with industrial strength adhesive and there you have it, a finished Pittsburgh Pottery magnet.
